Our Services
The Golden Touch of Central Florida, Inc. (The Golden Touch) is an Agency for persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We offer Personal Supports, Companion Support, Supported Living Coaching, and a First-Class Adult Day Training (ADT) Program. The ADT Program aims to provide persons with disabilities with opportunities to socialize, exercise, and learn. The program's intent is to improve the lives of the participants and to teach new skills through a variety of activities and programs. In doing so, The Golden Touch provides the participants the skills they need to live as independently as possible. These programs instill a variety of skills including communicating with others, making personal choices, eating independently, personal hygiene, domestic skills, developing hobbies and interests, and developing basic work skills.
Each person's program is individually designed to meet their personal needs and skills. These skills emphasize a variety of activities designed and coordinated by an ADT Program staff member. In addition, many entertainment and social activities are incorporated. These include a variety of games and sports, exercise time, gardening activities, arts and crafts, table games, music and singing time, and many others.
Another important aspect of the ADT program is the offering of Community Service Projects. This part of the program teaches the participants the importance of giving back to the community and having a sense of inclusivity. All ADT Program activities primarily take place at one of our facility locations with inclusion of outings and field trips.
